Pre-Thanksgiving Feelings
Hold the stuffing!
Authenticity is a core business principle for me. People keep telling me to “fake it till you make it,” but that’s not how I see the world. So when I sat down to write this Thanksgiving message, my first draft felt off. It was starting to sound like a cheesy Hallmark card.
Our hearts are full, our ovens are warm, and our gratitude is overflowing.
The truth? Running a tiny pizza business through winter is messy. With the tent gone and the rain back, our numbers swing like crazy. Trying to buy the right amount of ingredients or build the perfect schedule? Chaos. Some nights it feels like I’m guessing, and guessing wrong.
Then last night, it hit me:
We’re a niche, craft pizza crew running out of a patio next to a brewery. No corporate budget. No neon sign visible from the highway. Just fire, dough, weather, conversation, and whoever shows up. The wild part is that we’ve made it this far.
This isn’t a giant brand with marketing dollars and billboards. This is a small fire catching – something people discover, share, and come back to.
If you’re reading this, you’re part of that fire. Thank you.
And because this is real, your presence actually matters. Every time you show up, bring a friend, share a photo, or tell someone about us, it moves this thing from “interesting idea” to “community fixture.”
We’ll be out there tonight and tomorrow, doing what we do: stretching dough, stoking flame, experimenting, and serving whoever steps onto the patio. If that’s you—amazing. If not, no pressure. Just know we’re here, building something worth finding.
Thanks for being part of a story that doesn’t need to be faked.
